History:
Wok Pabong ‘Samtenling’ Monastery in south Sikkim was built in 1915 by Lama Pema Namgyal and Duknam Lama. It is located on the remote hilltop and was not improved with time. The monastery presently has 6 monks and 20 Nyamos (nun). However, all the periodical ceremonies are performed. The monastery follows Nyingmapa Sect.
