Latteytar Pemacholing Manilakhang (1921 A.D)
This Manilakhang is located at Latteytar, Okharey area, west Sikkim and can be reached by a short walk from the main road. It was built in 1921 A.D, by Norbu Sherpa on his own land for the Nyamos to offer Mani prayer. The Manilakha ng was later renovated by his son Passang Nuri Sherpa and given a religious name as ‘Pemacholing Gonpa’, but it is categorized as Manilhakhang on the basis of its status.
The Altar contains statues of Lord Buddha, Avalokiteshvara and Guru Padmasambhava. Presently there are 20 Monks and 20 Nyamos. It follows Nyingmapa Sect and is affiliated to Okharey Gonpa .
